[GiDlist] RE: Iso-Surface - value within the line

Postby miguel » Thu Jul 03, 2008 9:25 am

Hi, we released GiD version 9 a couple of days ago. I recommend you use this
latest version.

Regarding your question, you can do an iso-surface of one or several values
of a result and using the colour of this value to differentiate them. A
legend is also shown with the correspondence between the colours and the
values. The option ‘Options -- Iso surfaces -- Color Mode -- Result
color’ should be selected.

Here are two examples, the first one with one value:

And the second one with five values:

If you are talking of showing the label of the value over the
isosurface/isoline, at the moment this is not possible, but we write it down
for future releases.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Best regards,

Miguel Pasenau

Asunto: Iso-Surface - value within the line

Hi dears,

I’m using GID 8.0.9 to pre-processing and post-processing a Concrete Gravity
Dam model. I’d like to know if is it possible to draw the iso-surface with
one colour and describe the value within the line (like the topographical
curves
.).

Is the showing of the label of the value over the isosurface/isoline now possible with the new version of GiD ? I'd like to know how to do it? Thanks!
