Hello GiD forum members. Thank you for this site.

I am using the Ramseries_Educational_2D package of problem types (currently studying the CIMNE's Master on numerical methods in engineering).
Whenever I try to save any project it all fails and there comes up the following error message on the screen (here I tried saving with the name 'rr'):

Error: 'Couldn't create folder 'C:\Program Files\GiD\GiD 13.0.1\problemtypes\Ramseries_Educational_2D\rr.gid'. Check permissions and quotas'

Many thanks in advance for any ideas or suggetions on this.

Mauricio

The folder "C:\Program Files\GiD\GiD 13.0.1\problemtypes" must contain your collection of GiD problemtypes, like "Ramseries_Educational_2D"
it is not the place to save the user models, done with this or other problemtypes.
You must save the model in some user folder with write permissions.

On the other hand, it is Windows who is forbidding you to write the model inside the subtree of "C:\Program Files"
to allow it require do it 'as administrator'
e.g. if do you start GiD 'as administrator' it will be able to write in the place you want, but as i pointed it is a wrong place to write user data!!
