GiD for Mac does not recognize USB key

Post by rtakahashi »

I have USB-memory license and used GiD ver.12.1.d6 for Mac.
After I updated to OS X Capitan from Yosemite, the USB-key does not work.
I suppose GiD can not find the USB memory because the registration window does not show it( only OSX system, darwin is shown).
I tried some USB sticks and GiD versions(ver12.1.d6, d7, d8) but GiD can't recognize them.
In Windows 10, GiD can recognize the USB-stick key and I can use GiD.
I want to know the solution to this problem.

Dear miguel,

Thank you very much for your reply.
Yes, the USB memory stick worked with "OS X Yosemite".

As a similar case, the USB key of Fortran IDE, NAG Fortran builder, did not work with "OS X Capitan".
That key also had worked with "OS X Yosemite". This problem was solved by the recent update.

Dear Mr. Rtakahashi,
i found the problem with OS X El Capitan. In this new version, the driver class that handles the USB memory keys has been renamed.
The correction will be available in the next Developer version,

thanks for you patience and your report,

The GiDteam.
