Hi
I'm modeling a prismatic volume where the bottom surface is supported by a surface spring.
Additionally, the rotation of this bottom surface needs to be restrained (i.e, all the surface nodes have equal vertical displacement)
There is a way to avoid the surface rotation without using surface constraints?

Re: Surface rotation
These characteristics depend on the type of problem used for the simulation, not GiD
The boundary conditions and its meaning is defined by the problemtype, and from GiD you assign them to the model.
Probably you are using some structural code with 'solid elements', and the 3 degrees of freedom are the displacements of the nodes,
then you must simply set that the displacement in x and y is zero for the surface nodes (assuming z vertical)
