Problem with Safir_Structural_3d

Post by alessandro84 »

Hi,
i've used Safir_Structural_3d problem type with GID professional version (one month free license).
When GID starts to write the .in file for Safire.exe, it stops and shows this output:

" Structural3dfix converts .dat-file to .in-file "
" Error: Maximum number of Local Axes (5000) exceeded."

and the .in-file for Safire.exe is not created.

In effect I modeled a structure quite big, about 6000 beams (and then 6000 local axes).
So my question is: is there a limit in the number of beams I can model, also in the professional version (permanent license)?

Thanks!

GiD doesn't has any known static limit of the number of local axes, and 6000 lines seems a small model for GiD (GiD could handle some milions of elements)

By the message I think that this limit is the auxiliary program (Structural3dfix.exe) of the Safir problemtype that converts the GiD .dat output in the final input file for Safir.exe

Ask the Safir problemtype developers for a version of Structural3dfix.exe without this limitation.
