Assign color to each material

Post by eduardrocas »

Hello,

I would like to know if there's any way to assign a color to each material, either doing it manually or through Tcl.

Thanks,
Eduard

Applied materials are drawn by colors from the materials window, with the Draw button, but the list of colors is internal and can not be changed or customized.

I would suggest including the option of assigning specific colors to materials in a future release. It can be important for visualization purposes.

Thanks.

Do you have in mind how these colors could be specified or some special requirement?
e.g. a GiD-Tcl command that set an array of n RGB defined colors to be used by materials 1,...,n that replace the default automatic colors?

Exactly, this is the idea; being able to assign a specific color to each different material. RGB is good enough. With a GiD-Tcl would be perfect.

Thanks,
