Force point to be meshed inside volume

Post by pavlo »

I want to make a point to be meshed on the side of a volume.I need to assign some boundary conditions to this point and not to lose this input while regenerating the mesh (now I solve it with assigning boundary conditions to FE node directly).
I tried Mesh - Mesh Criteria - No skip - Points, but it didn't help. Also I tried Force points to both surface which it is located on and volume as well. No one works and this point is not meshed.
The Volume is meshed as semistructured, master surface is the surface where point is located on.

Hello,

the option you need is the 'force points to' volume, in this case. The problem is that this option is not available now for semi-structured volumes.
We get your request, and we are implementing it. It will be available for the following developer version of GiD.

Thanks so much for notifying us this behavior.
