Pressure distribution on a laterally loaded pile
I have been working on a numerical modeling for examining the pressure distribution on a laterally loaded pile by using FLAC 3D software. I have checked my results with analytical and experimental results and found an approximated result for the ultimate lateral resistance of the pile and for the maximum moment location. But the magnitude of the maximum pressure computed from FLAC 3D is about10% of the maximum pressure computed by the analytical method (Broms method). The shape of the pressure distribution is very similar. Thus, the only problem is on the magnitude of the pressure from FLAC 3D which needs to be calibrated by about 10. I was wondering if you are aware of the reason for this calibration factor.

Sorry, this in not the right forum for this comment. You must sent it to the "FLAC 3D " develepers
From the point of view of GiD we don't know nothing about the results calculated by the problemtypes
