[GiDlist] legend size and title

Hi, Gid team,

How can I enlarge the legend box and change its title when producing an
animation? It seems I can change the legend title under the menu
Options--Legends, but once I start animating, the title just goes back to
the original name. And I fail to find a way to increase the size of the
legend. Could you please help me out? Thanks.

[GiDlist] legend size and title

The size can’t be set, It automatically is adapted to its text.



About its content, try also from Utilities-Tools-Comments


You can disable the automatic title and set the text you want.

This kind of data must be defined by the problemtype,

GiD don't define any material or its properties like density, young modulus,
etc. It is the problemtype who define the conditions like 'load' and
material

properties that are needed for its simulation.



Which problemtype are you using? CompassFEM's RamSolid maybe?

Then the density is defined in the material and then to consider the gravity
load must assign the 'self weigth load to volumes (and then its material
density is used)

I want to apply a gravity load to my structure. Does GiD take the density
that I have specified in the material properties into account or do I have
to assign a body load consisting of the unit weight of the material?

[GiDlist] Particle is not a member of any element

Hi, GiD team,

I am getting the error stated in the subject line and have tried remeshing a few times. When I signal the particle that the error is referring to it appears to be within one of the tetrahedral elements. Any ideas on how I can go about solving this problem?

Furthermore, when assigning hexahedra element types to the structure, it informs me that one of the volumes can only be meshed with the tetrahedra element type. Is there any way around this?

You must explain a little better your case, and probably attach the GiD
example,

I don't know who is raising the message "Particle is not a member of any
element".

Is this message exact? (I didn't found the message anywhere in GiD)!!!



Which kind of mesh are you trying to generate? (e.g. spheres, tetraedra),
and which mesher are you setting in the preferences-meshing window?



About meshing hexahedra, GiD can't generate unstructured hexas !!

it is only possible to generate them for structured meshes (the volume must
be topologically a cube with exactly 6 boundary surfaces,

or semi-structured surfaces, for extrusion volumes (two opposite tops joined
by extruded lateral surfaces of exactly 4 sides)
