[GiDlist] please help: the objects refuse to appear on the s

Postby Cezar Diaconu » Mon Dec 16, 2002 6:57 am

Hello GiD Users,

I want to evaluate GiD 7.1 for Windows. I installed GiD on Windows NT (academic version) and I tried to see some
examples and to do the first tutorial. However, all the objects (points, lines, etc) refuse to appear on the screen. Is
this a known bug? Please, can anybody help me? This pre/post FEM software seems to have great potential at a relativley
low price and I would really like to use it.

Thank you,

Cz

This seems a bug of some graphic cards, accelerating OpenGL.

Try to change or deactivate the hardware acceleration to avoid this problem:

Open the Screen properties (of MS Windows, not of GiD) and go to
Configuration-Advanced options-Problem solutions

and change the acceleration to none.

If this fail, try also to change the number of colours (to true color or to
256 colors)
