hi,
Just assign the element size you want to the end points
of the line.

Hi;
It is possible to concentrate elements at the begining and at the end of
the
same line to mesh a surface?
Advanced thanks
Pablo

[GiDlist] Symmetry
When meshing a perfectly symmetric geometry, GID does not produce a
mesh with perfectly symmetric node locations no matter how much I
alter the meshing parameters. To produce a symmetric mesh, I instead mesh
one quarter of the geometry and copy/mirror the elements.
However, since I need double nodes in my geometry, I must check the
"duplicate entities" box in the copy window or else my double nodes will
be collapsed to single nodes. As a consequence, I am left with double
nodes along the mirroring boundaries which must then be deleted.
Is there a simpler way to make GID produce a symmetric mesh for symmetric
geometries?
thanks,
Jeramy Ashlock

[GiDlist] concentrate elements
It is also possible to assign a structured number of divisions to a line
Meshing-Structured-Lines
(and select the number of elements for the selected lines)
This elements can be concentrated at the start, the end, boths,.. assigning
a weight to the start and end
with:
Meshing-Structured-Concentrate Elements
(and select the structured lines and the start and end weights)

Hi;
My question, if it is possible structured concentrate elements in version 6,
like in version 7, where you can control the mesh at the beginning and at the
end.
Thanks

[GiDlist] concentrate elements
In GiD version 6 only is possible to concentrate structured elements at
start or
at end, but not at both, this is a new feature of GiD 7.

Not exist any method to force GiD to generate a symmetric
mesh for symmetric geometries, must copy/mirror directly the elements.
