Dear GiD Team,

I've purchased a local licence and got a permanent password.
However, when I input the password to register a program, GiD system presents the following error every time.
( my operating system: Mac OS X Yosemite (ver.10.10.4) )
***********************
failed:
couldn't open "/Volumes/
GiD-12.1.7d-Install/
GiD-12.1.7d.app/Contents/MacOS/
scripts/TemporalVariables": read only file system
while executing
"open $filename "a""
invoked from within
"write_text [lindex $::argv 0] [lindex $::argv 1]"
***********************
I've found that the "TemporalVariables" file is not generated in the "scripts" folder.

Could you give me some advice??
I'm sorry to trouble you so much.

Best regards,
KANAZAWA

Dear Mr. Kanazawa,

it seems that you tried to use GiD directly from the installation disk, which is read-only.

Have you "drag and drop de GiD.app (icon) into the Applications folder alias" to install it in your /Applications folder?

if so, can you check if GiD is present in the Applications folder ( The GiD program should be in /Applications/GiD-12.1.7d.app/... ) ?

Thanks,
The GiD team

Dear GiD team,

I've run GiD directly from the installation disk, and solved the problem.
Thank you so much for your advice !!
