Problem initializing GID

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with GID when I open it, the window with a warning comes up: Could not create graphical window with 'redsize 8 -greensize 8 ....., so GID is shut down, I do not know how I Can fix this error.

This seems a problem with your graphic card and OpenGL.
Try starting GiD without OpenGL acceleration
To do it reset your user settings and set 'Activate Software OpenGL' as explained in this F.A.Q.http://www.gidhome.com/documents/faqgid/Solve%20problems/Reset%20all%20user%20preferences

You can also run an alternative version of GiD that uses the 'Mesa' graphics library (software also) instead of OpenGL
in the Windows GiD folder there is a file named 'gid_offscreen.vbs' that start this alternative version (the name 'offscreen' is because it allow to run GiD without any window and create image files offscreen)

I don't know whether your solution was good for the OP or not, but I am certain that it was good for me! I had the same problem and starting GiD without OpenGL acceleration helped me. Thanks! :)
