[GiDlist] problem with mashing

Post by Samir Omerovic »

Dear Gid team,
thank you for the fast response, I would have one more question:
Is it possible to create objects (again 2D) with a line mesh on the boundary and on the surface. My problem is I can create either the line mesh or the surface mesh but not both of them on one object. (And if possible, can you do a different subdivision of the 2 meshes? For example a coarse suface mesh and a fine line mesh?)

best regards

[GiDlist] problem with mashing

Post by abelcs »

Dear Samir,

To get the line mesh and the surface mesh, you have to set Mesh-Mesh
Criteria-Mesh-Lines and select the lines you want. The same happens if you
want to have a volume mesh and also the mesh of its boundary surfaces.

Doing this you will get both meshes, but they are conformal. If you want
diferent mesh sizes on lines and surfaces, you should duplicate the lines,
so as the duplicated line mesh will not own the surface one. In this case
both sizes are independent.

Kind regards,

ABEL
