[GiDlist] Contact element

Dear gid-list,

Can anyone help me. I want to generate interface elements (contact) with
GiD (4-node quadrilaterals are fine).

I ‘m creating a “contact surface” from 2 lines in the same position.

GiD generates the 4-node quadrilaterals but at the line edges the nodes
are not duplicated and the quadrilateral possesses the same node twice
(see file).

Can I avoid this?

Dear Luis,

It seams that the two lines which form the ContactSurface are sharing their
starting and ending nodes. Each geometrical point can only generate one mesh
node.

To solve this problem, you must duplicate the nodes, so as each line have
its own geometrical starting and ending point.
