we are not SAFIR users

Have a look to the SAFIR input file written by GiD, maybe you will be able
to see what the problem is (the SAFIR manual must describe its input file)

Asunto: [GiDlist] GiD 11.0.7 and SAFIR

I am quite new in this field and am now trying out the trial version of
Gid11.0.7 for SAFIR. I have used the GiD to create a 2D object (a 2d
cylinder consisting of several layers of materials), and I would like to run
the problem type Safir_thermal_2d. I use HC temperature curve for exposure
on the outer layer.

I run into the following problems:

1. When I simplify the object (one layer of material) and use HC exposure,
the temperature (I have defined an initial temperature of 20 deg C) at a
certain thickness of the layer gets lower than 20 deg C).

2. When I use the complex layer and HC exposure, the temperature at all
spatial coordinates and at all times, stays at 20 dec C.

3. When I chose "calculate window" and "start", the software "hangs".

I would be very grateful any help on this issue.
