[GiDlist] USB license does not work on win7 system

Post by CHEN Ningning »

Dear Mr. Escolano,

The USB was bought from GID and it is now valid on Windows XP (32 bit and 64bit) system ( After the USB is inserted in, the GID shows as professional version ).

Now the department provide us new computer with 64bit windows7 system.
We installed GID on win7 successfully. Howerver when the USB with GID registration imformation is inserted in, GID showed that it is an evaluation version.

In windows XP system, the USB is the only thing which is used to regist GID. There is no passward nor password file.

Thanks,

CHEN

What do you mean by 'the usb license is not identified'?
The usb doesn't appear in the list showed by Help-Register... to use its
'sysinfo' to register GiD?
Not all USB devices can be used to register GiD, specially some old models
can't be used.
Try another model or buy us a usb licence with 'airmail order' that include
a physical memory stick valid for GiD with the GiD password.

or your USB is valid, but do you have a GiD password that doesn't work,
probably then this password is incorrect
and you must talk with the person who shell you this password (or with us if
it is a temporary trial one, providing all data: sysinfo, password, etc)

Best regards

Enrique Escolano
