[GiDlist] Could not start GiD

Post by escolano »

GiD was able to start in the past or it never started in your machine?

If it worked in the past, then probably there is some wrong in the 'gid.ini' (.gidDefaults on Linux) file that store the user preferences.
To fix it you can simply delete it (it will be automatically rebuild with default values)
Te easier way to delete it is to start from the menu "GiD safe mode", and select "Reset preferences" in the window that will appear

If do you have problems with your graphic card try also to set the OpenGL by sofware option.

Dear GiD Team,
I could not start GiD unexpectedly. When I double click the gid.exe, the windows pops up the error message as follows.
========================
Application Error
The command 0x616d6f72 at the RAM "0x616d6f72". This RAM could not be "read".
