[GiDlist] Problems with the tool "Take a snapshot"

Post by Joaquín Irazábal González »

Good afternoon,

I am trying to "Take a snapshot" of a geometry in preprocess mode and I
can not do it. In postprocess mode I do not have any problem to take
pictures.

The Warning I obtained for png pictures is: Unknown extension '.png'

I also tried with .jpg and .gif extensions with the same result.

Can yo help me?

Thank you vey much,

[GiDlist] Problems with the tool "Take a snapshot"

Post by escolano »

How are you taking the snapshot?
I have tried with GiD 11.0 Windows x32,
from the menu Files-Print to file-PNG
and
from the camera icon or the upper icons bar, and selecting Files of type png in the window that is opened
and it worked in both cases

Which platform are you using? (Linux, Windows, x32 or x64)

[GiDlist] "Create results" does not work properly

Post by Nunzio Losacco »

Hi all,

with all GiD versions I've tried (9.x, 10.x, 11.x) the "Create Result"
option in the "Window" menu of postprocessing is not working properly.
Namely I have noted two issues:

1) When I want to pick an operand result from a long list I have to click
"..More..." on the dropdown menu. Choosing the result from the "View
Results and Deformation" window which popups thereafter has the only effect
of changing the DISPLAYED results and does not change the result chosen as
"Create Result" operand, instead.

2) Whenever I try to create a new result from results defined at Gauss
points I have the following error:

found an error

while executing
"GiD_Result create {*}$res_dst"
(procedure "PCRApply" line 409)
invoked from within
"PCRApply"
invoked from within
".gid.wPostCrearResultado.but.apply invoke "
invoked from within
".gid.wPostCrearResultado.but.apply instate !disabled {
.gid.wPostCrearResultado.but.apply invoke } "
invoked from within
".gid.wPostCrearResultado.but.apply instate pressed {
.gid.wPostCrearResultado.but.apply state !pressed;
.gid.wPostCrearResultado.but.apply instate !di..."
(command bound to event)

Is this ever going to be solved?

Regards,

NL
