Hello,
I recently have started working in Atena GiD and Science. I used to work in Atena Engineering 3D. In Engineering there is a easy way to make contact. Those contact can slide against each other. I can do the same in GiD with interface material and contact volume made from two identical areas. However, if I have uneven areas and make a contact by copying those areas I have to use the fixed surface condition. After that the sliding won't occur. However, I tried to have sliding by removing the z DoF from the condition (picture below). However, If I remove all DoF's error occurs. How can I have the sliding with uneven areas...
Contact problem

Re: Contact problem
Sorry, this question must be asked to Atena developers: http://www.cervenka.cz
from GiD we don't know nothing about how are handled the contacts in this problemtype.
(To inform other GiD users: Atena is a solver simulation of reinforced concrete structures)
I have seen that they have its own forum: http://forums.cervenka.cz/viewforum.php?id=1
