Re: out of range

Hi escolano: the original mesh i have are triangulated surface meshes, and i used the command that you told me (Mescape Meshing MeshFromBoundary) in the GiD which generated my mesh into linear 4 node tetrahedral meshes. then i used a matlab code converted them into quadratic tet. Is the wrong order ...

Re: out of range

Hi escolano:
that is exactly the problem is, and after correct that point, the mash can be imported into the GiD.
While the imported mesh is looking pretty strange as shown in the picture attached, can you have a look to see if you think it's in a wrong format?

Thanks

Re: out of range

hi escolano:
thanks a lot for helping me.
i've tried the way you suggest while it's not working.
i have the file as in .txt format which i want it to be uploaded, while it seems that the .txt file is not allowed to be uploaded.
Am i only allowed to attach pictures to this message?

Thank you.

Re: Triangulate Surface Mesh to GiD volumetric Mesh

Hi escolano:
Thank you again for helping out, and those are really helpful.
I just wondering if you know after the converting, how to generate those tetrahedral meshes into 10-node tetra? Since from the process you mentioned i can only generate 4-node tetras.

Best regards.

Re: Triangulate Surface Mesh to GiD volumetric Mesh

Hi escolano:
I really appreciate your help, and i just have a small concern here; for the command:
Mescape Geometry Create Reconstruct OneSurfForEachElement
was unknown to the GiD.
You have any idea about it?
Thank you a lot~

Re: Triangulate Surface Mesh to GiD volumetric Mesh

In addition, escolano, after applying the first code, the GiD asking me about the size of elements to be generated, then how should i decide it?
Thank you so much~
