Re: Change de geometry of a problem

I have dowloaded from the code_brigh web page Code_brigh_V9_1_3 and the related example swelling_pressure_test.gid and copied the problemtype to the \problemtypes folder of GiD 14.0.2 Windows x64 and If I open the example and go to menu Calculate->Calculate it apear the error message "Problem t...

Re: condition in Spd

An advice (not related to your question). Use english messages everywhere in the code, E.g instead pn='Restriccion en "y"'' Use Pn='Y restriction' And to be show in other language, like Spanish use our program "RamTranslator" https://www.gidhome.com/gid-plus/tools/485/download-ra...

Re: Change de geometry of a problem

code_brigth is compiled only for Window x64.
Are you using GiD on Windows?
(e.g. if you are using on Linux or macOs there is not any version of code_bright available)
What is exactly your GiD version (see menu Help->About GiD...)? 14.0.2 official, 14.1.4d developer?

Re: Change de geometry of a problem

I think that the model has the old result, including the mesh. You are changing the model in preprocess, but when you press calculate the calculation is really not started. Then changing to postprocess the old results are loaded. What is the problemtype? Check that do you have the right version for ...

Re: sección no prismática

The answer to this question doesn't depends on GiD, depends on the problemtype.

If do you have a property (e.g. a section) that is not constant along a line, then maybe you can approximate it dividing the line and applying to each part a constant value

Re: Auto plot for multiple time steps

I don't completely understand this question.

You can write a Tcl procedure (e.g. invoked from a macro toolbar button) that use the commands you want (GiD_Process to send keywords to be processed by GiD to do thinks, like do a cut, and Tcl commands/procs , like GiD_Graph, etc.)

Re: Use CustomLib to write node coordinates

Probably is not a good idea to mix the information of the nodes's coordinates and the data of the conditions. If you are designing this input format and are free to modify it you can re-consider it. In any case, if the input format cannot be changed: GiD provide the special command GiD_WriteCalculat...

Re: gid command line documentation

you can write a small batch file with the GiD process commands to be done e.g. my_file.bch MEscape Files Read "your_path/your_model.gid" MEscape Meshing Generate Yes DefaultSize MEscape Utilities Calculate escape escape escape and then invoke GiD with -b to process this file gid.exe -b my_...

Re: Why a NURBS surface always automatically rotates after being generated

The main problem of this model is the bad shape of some surfaces (like the surface 3246 of the 3volm_beforemesh.gid), there are self-intersections of intersections with neighbor surfaces that prevent the creation of the volume mesh. I attach some pictures of the problematic shape, and some mesh of t...
