Re: PLOT BUTTON

It is not possible to avoid it.
I think that it is automatically created if all data are numbers (and can be represented as graph)

Re: Abaqus import (*.inp file)

There is an small bug in the Abaqus mesh import plugin v 0.1 I attach an Abaqus.zip with a fixed 0.2 version To use it must simply unzip at "<GiD>\plugins\Import\pre", replacing the current one. You can see the content of the zip, there are two text files, the .xml with declarations of the...

Re: Strange surfaces with flat render

I recommend you to download the last available versions, current official nowadys is 14.0.4. Maybe this bug has been fixed some versions ago. http://www.gidhome.com/download/official-versions or also can have fixed bugs and also new features in developer versions: http://www.gidhome.com/download/dev...

Re: Strange surfaces with flat render

This could be because the orientation of some render normals or the surface definition is incoherent. How has this model created? e.g. interactively using which commands?, or imported from which format? please, attach a zip with the original format, and/or the GiD model. and what is the exact GiD ve...

Re: Get point id from coordinates

11000 nodes is a relativelly small model
Note: my example code was made for geometry point, not for mesh nodes (must do some change to ask for mesh nodes)

Re: Get point id from coordinates

A bruce-force version is easy to write, e.g: proc GetClosestPointBruteForce { x y z tolerance } { set min_point_id -1 set coordinate_find [list $x $y $z] set mind_d2 1e30 foreach poin_id [GiD_Geometry list point] { set point_xyz [lrange [GiD_Geometry get point $poin_id] 1 3] set d2 [MathUtils::Vecto...

Re: Get point id from coordinates

No, it doesn't exists any GiD_Tcl command to get the closest or a list of points or other entities close to a center in a radius Also we don't provide Tcl commands to wrap any 'finding structure' (like octree, kd-tree, bin, etc.) to do this kind of 3D space find efficiently You must ask with Tcl ent...

Re: Strange principal stress in postprocessing

I think that this is a bug that I have detected and fixed for next 14.1.9d version,
but this version is not already publicly available for download, it will be soon...
