Re: how to create a rectangular bucket in 10-node tetrahedral format?
hi escolano: I really appreciate your help on what questions that i've asked. For this bucket question, i am still having trouble with the one that i created always getting weird deformation under the problem type from a third party. I wonder if you can re-create a bucket like the one you created, j...

Re: how to create a rectangular bucket in 10-node tetrahedral format?
hi escolano: It's not importing, i simply want to create one bucket in 10-node tetrahedral format. yes...what you said is true about the wrapping problem, it's related to a problem type developed by a third party, and just ignore this issue. Can you provide me some info about the creation of that bu...

how to create a rectangular bucket in 10-node tetrahedral format?
hi: I've tried to create a bucket in a rectangular form and trying to assign it as a tetrahedral mesh. while no matter how many times i tried, once the bucket layer is under impact, the layer will deform or wrap on the particle that impacts on it. How can i fix it? can anyone teach me on this issue?...

GiD stopped working
Hi:
I got a serious problem, no matter how many times i reinstall the GiD, and importing mesh or do other operations, the GiD just suddenly stop working.
Any idea?
Thanks!!!!!

Re: Triangulate Surface Mesh to GiD volumetric Mesh
Hi escolano: Since i had some problem with using the code " Mescape Meshing MeshFromBoundary " for converting some of my particles to tetra, so i'm trying to use the second way as you mentioned as: "This is not the normal flow of use of GiD, it is more natural to have a geometric volu...

Unit concern
Hi:
I have a question that may sound a bit boring, but what is the unit that is assigned to the simulation? Say i am assigning velocity to a particle, is the default unit that is used by GiD is m/s or mm/s?
Thanks a lot~

Re: Triangulate Surface Mesh to GiD volumetric Mesh
Hi escolano: First, i really appreciate your continuous help to my concerns, and they are really helpful. I was using the command code as you mentioned in this post, which is the "Mescape Meshing MeshFromBoundary" for converting my surface meshes to tet mesh, and it is pretty useful until ...

plane creation
Hi:
I've looked the tutorial but still confused about how can i create a plane, which composed by quadratic tetrahedron for simulating a particle drops on it (say the plane is along the x-z plane)?
Thanks a lot

vtu files visualization
Hi: I've done the preprocessing for my simulation, and when i trying to import the vtk files which are generated after the calculation process, the GiD shows a warning as: GiD_MeshPost: bad element number of nodes '10'. Quadratic elements are not implemented. The vtu files are attached and i really ...

Re: Triangulate Surface Mesh to GiD volumetric Mesh
Hi escolano: I got some problems when using the command "Mescape Meshing MeshFromBoundary" for generating the tet mesh from triangulated meshes that i have. First one is showing that there is a mesh error as shown in the attached picture as "first error" (for mesh 0001r-10000.obj...
