Re: Using GiD mesh in OpenFOAM

Hi,
I'm attaching a case of a cylinder slit in two, connected by a common surface. Same error appears,
Thanks in advance

Re: Using GiD mesh in OpenFOAM

Dear all, I'm trying to export a multi-domain GiD mesh for OpenFoam . I'm starting from a multi solid geometry, I'm defining continuum type for all solids , and then I assign boundary type for each surface . I'm meshing just the volumes , ending up with just thetraedrals elements. When I export it, ...

Re: Export a stl with solids (layers)

Thank for the replay, I try to be more specific: I have a layers structured geometry, then I do triangulated surface mesh, each layer contains the corresponding meshed surface. So far everifhing is fine. Then I export all the surface at once as a stl file, by default, in the header of the file, ther...

Export a stl with solids (layers)

Hi all, I usually need to export a stl file of my geometry, composed by surfaces. The geometry is subdivided in several layers, and also the stl faces are assigned at the corresponding layers. If I export the stl file of the whole geometry, the stl file I get has just one "solid", named Gi...
