CARPA is a free surface flows modelling system with the following characteristics:
- Simulation of free surface flows on natural channels
- Integrated solution of Saint Venant equations in 1D and 2D on irregular topography
- Finite volume explicit schemes
- Drying and wetting of the domain. Exact volume conservation
- Distributed hydrologic model
- Friendly interface (pre and post process) with GiD (CIMNE)
- GIS Integration
- Verification: analytical solution, numerical models, laboratory and field measurements
